About THE SPACE
Our three-bedroom house is on a quiet residential street in the historic center of Albufeira, just steps to bars, restaurants, and shops, and the beach! Praia dos Pescadores (Fisherman’s Beach) is only a couple minutes’ walk down the winding cobblestone streets of Old Town. The most amazing feature of our space? The private roof top terrace with one of the best uninterrupted 360-degree views of Old Town and the Atlantic ocean! Perfect for catching the sunrise… sunset… sunbathing… or having lazy day of alfresco dining.
This is a traditional Portuguese home (tall & narrow) and when you rent with us, you get the entire house! That means 4 flights of stairs up to the roof, which we love, but something to consider if you have had knee surgery, a hip replacement, a sprained ankle, or, if unlike us, you hate a good butt workout.

About the Algarve
The Algarve (or al Gharb, meaning “the west” in Arabic – a Moorish influence) is the southern most region of Portugal, covering the South Coast of the country to Spain. Rich with history and blessed with warm weather and amazing offerings (think fresh fish, world famous oranges, and Portugal’s famous cork oak), the area attracts vacationers from all over the world looking to relax, bathe in the sun, and enjoy the affordable European luxuries Portugal has to offer.
About Albufeira
The Portuguese consider Albufeira the heart of The Algarve. Centrally located, Albufeira allows easy access to all the other parts of The Algarve (Sagres, Lagos, Monchique, Silves, Vilamoura, Faro, Tavira, etc.) by car or other transportation. The city is also easy to reach from Faro/Lisbon/Seville airport with a direct bus route. An old historical town, with an array of restaurants and bars, Albufeira also showcases picturesque beaches, grottos and caves. While the local population caps at around 30,000 people, the summers in Albufeira are busy, fun, and bustling with travelers looking to enjoy the strip, the nightlife, the old town, the pristine beaches, and perhaps “the lagoon” or al buhayra for which the old town was named.

MEET THE OWNERS
Our friendship story began more than 20 years ago while we were both studying in New York City. After university, we moved to California to start our careers (Bibi in Los Angeles and Tasha in San Francisco) and soon began our international (and stateside) travel adventures!
The decision to buy this house came after years of ‘travel-research’ all over the globe to more than 35 countries across 6 continents. We fell in love with Portugal because of its friendly people, warm weather, beautiful beaches, and great food and wine. We hope our home will inspire you to embrace what we love most about travel: taking a break from the every day, enjoying time with family and friends (old and new!) and embracing new adventures!
